Myocardial Infarction (MI)

Myocardial Infarction (MI), commonly known as a heart attack, occurs when one of the coronary arteries supplying blood to the heart becomes suddenly and completely blocked, leading to damage of the heart muscle. Common symptoms include severe chest pain or discomfort, which may radiate to the arm, shoulder, neck, jaw, or back, along with excessive sweating, nausea, vomiting, dizziness, breathlessness, and, in severe cases, collapse or sudden cardiac arrest.
