The Institute has also been granted permission for starting of post graduate courses in eight subjects of pre-clinical and para clinical departments from the academic session 2020-21. Subsequently, the Institute had applied for starting of post graduate courses in 12 clinical departments from the academic session 2021-22, for which permission has been granted from NMC.
The primary focus of the Institute is to come up with innovative patterns of teaching in medical education in all the branches so as to set up the highest standards of medical education in India. A major objective of the Institute is to develop the best educational facilities in a centralized way, for the training of personnel in all the important branches of medicine. JNUIMSRC ensures that teaching methods, facilities and content of the programme are in line with the latest innovations with a strong scientific base. Special emphasis is laid on the teaching and training aspects and these are imparted through seminars, interactive lectures, wide range of clinical and laboratory experiences, independent thinking and relevant research.
Primary focus is on the fundamental understanding of health management, disease prevention and curative treatment.
