About the Speciality

The Department of Oncology deals with the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of cancer.

A comprehensive and systematic approach to treatment and care is provided by qualified cancer specialist in Jaipur, while ensuring evidence-based, safe and cost-effective use of cancer drugs. There are three major areas based on treatments in the field of oncology: medical oncology, radiation oncology, and surgical oncology.

As a core member of the multidisciplinary team, Medical Oncology aims to preserve the quality of the life of the patients through their entire journey with cancer. Medication, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy is used for treatment by Medical Oncologists.

Diagnostic and Clinical Services

The department to guide the cancer patients during all phases of their treatment follows the given steps.

  • Explaining the diagnosis and stage of cancer.
  • Discussing treatment options.
  • Recommending an appropriate course of treatment.

Investigations such as biopsy, endoscopy, X-ray, CT scanning, MRI, ultrasound and Tumor markers are conducted for the diagnosis of cancer. For each cancer, there is a standard treatment regimen that will be followed.

The Department of Oncology also runs a Cancer Clinic from Monday to Saturday (9 AM to 5 PM). Teams of oncologists like Radiation Oncologist, Surgical Oncologist, Medical Oncologist, Plastic Surgeon, Neurosurgeon, Urologist, Paediatric Surgeon, Gynaecologist, ENT Surgeon and more will be available for the patients at one of the best cancer hospitals in Jaipur.
