Patient is placed in lateral position, skin infilterated with local anasethetic. Then bone marrow is aspirated & slides are made. Then at the same site, biopsy sample is taken in the formation.
- Bleeding from biopsy site
- Infection of skin or bone
- Pain during and after procedure
