Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS)

Minimally invasive spine surgery includes Percutaneous Pedicle Screw Fixation, Endoscopic / Microscopic lumbar discectomy and Kyphoplasty/Vertebroplasty.

After informed consent and necessary pre-op preparation patient is taken to operaion theatre and given local anaesthesia. Only some cases may require general anaesthesia.

Minimally invasive spine procedures are then done as per the requirement and patient is shifted to ward.

Post-operatively there is immediate relief in most of the cases.

It carries the advantage of small incision, minimal tissue damage and hence minimal post-op pain and short hospital stay. Overall the results are very satisfying with early recovery and minimal complications.
