Acute Diarrhea

Diarrhea is defined as change in consistency and frequency of stools (liquid / watery stools > 3 times a day)

Increased frequency of stools, which is loose inconsistency. If frequency is high and oral intake is poor child can have signs of dehydration (skin pinch delayed, decreased urine output, shrunken eyes, tachycardia, low BP etc.)
